Trip to Jageshwar

I had a wonderful unplanned trip to Jageshwar I had planned a trip to Patna followed by Nagpur for JFW with HIV care Guys. But later decided to visit Lucknow as women’s care was having their CBM there. I reached Patna and update the profile and had too many people calling in. spend some time with the team there and rajendra arora. Apart from the review and 4 call dint do much. Had the desire to visit the shakti temple in Patna but dint go Instead shopped at the PN mall that I was staying. Found the city just the same as I remember 10 years back, this comment on fb offended many Patna guys. Wanted to give the WC team a surprise, dint have a confirmed flight ticket to lucknow, so spoke to Gopal and brijesh but Travel desk was able to organize a ticket for Thursday morning. Asked gopal to make my stay arrangements at the same place as that of the WCs meeting in Gomati Nagar. So Thursday morning took a flight from Patna and reached Lucknow by 1pm. Had a review with vishwadeep and then called on the top KOL in Lucknow Dr. Tripathi along with Satendra. Visited Vishwadeeps house and then parted with WC Managers. Later in the night had a drink with Rahul and Vaibhav too. By now had spoken to Saurabh about that I was in Lucknow, he booked my train ticket from Lucknow to Barelli for Friday night and had planned this trip to Jageshwar. I told him that I wanted to get to Mumbai on Monday, so the plan was to reach Barelli on Saturday by 2am, leave by car to Jageshwar early and after darshan spend the night at nainital and on Sunday take the train to Delhi from Katgodham at 4pm. I would then reach delhi by 11pm and spend the night at Veveks place and take a flight to Mumbai on Monday Morning. Now while this got fixed and I received my E-tickets, Reshma called me and checked with me if I could travel to Jaipur for taking the session on MIB, I told her I was ok. Couple of hours later I I received my tickets for Mumbai to Jaipur on Tuesday morning and return on wed night. I informed this to Ajay Sharma who was insisting that I should come to Jaipur on Sunday. But I told him that I have personal plans and would be there on Tuesday morning. On Friday morning HR had organized interviews so after morning chat with Ajeet and Amitesh, and watching sachin play his last innings got into the act and Interviewed 6 candidate. Took the MIB 2 session from 4 to 6 pm then attend the Global Call from 6.30 to 7.30pm. Amit had planned to drop me to the station, so along with Nanda and Navin went to the market ate some chat and reached the station in good time. Reached Barelli by 3.30am, the train was delayed. Saurabh and Tanuj picked me up reached the hotel close to the station and caught a wink for a couple of hours. We started by 8 in the morning, Nishant and Ashish joined us. We hit a traffic Jam early on and reached Haldwani by noon, dropped saurabhs bag, Nishant was not doing good due to motion sickness. Within the first 30 minutes of the climb Nishant started throwing up and we kept taking breaks, we reached Almora by 4pm and by the time he was in a bad shape. I drove the car from Almora to Jageshwar slowly and we reached there by 5.45pm. there was no way we were going to travel now and took a decision to stay here. Booked the hotel room and organized the dinner. I saurabh, Ashish and Nishant caught a Nap for 2 hours, while Tanuj helped the hotel guy cook the 3 kg chicken we ordered. We partied till 11pm, took a short walk to the temple and crashed for the much awaited sleep. The temperatures we single digit. Morning all took bath and were ready by 9am, we reached temple and for the next 3 hours did pooja at all the various shrines. It was a wonderful experience. The pooja at the Murtunjay shrine was the most elaborate poojas that I have ever performed at a shiva shrine. We all were simply delighted, it was unplanned but truly beautiful. We had breakfast sitting in the sun and it was 12.30 and there was no way we would make it to katgodam by 4 for my train. We dint have mobile connectivity. So planned to stay back at nainital for the night and plan my travel to Delhi on Monday morning. I planned to go to Jaipur from Delhi and not travel to Mumbai for the night. When we got the mobile connectivity, Tanuj organized to cancel my ticket and book me a new ticket. As per the new itinerary I would catch the train from Kathgodam at 8.50am on Monday morning and reach Delhi by 3.30pm. So I planned that will spend the night at Viveks place and reach Jaipur on Tuesday in time to take the MIB session. All except Ashish were ok with staying at Nainital. So we dropped Ashiish at Bhawali for where he would take a jeep to the train station and reach barelli before mid night. We reached Nanital by 6pm. took a walk on the mall road shopped for a few shawls and picked dinner and got back to our room by 9.30pm. while buying the shawls Ajay called me tell me that he liked t-shirt and I told him about my plan to reach Jaipur. He told me that he would book my travel from Delhi to jaipur by a train that leaves delhi by 5.30 and reaches jaipur by 10pm. I checked with Vivek and told him to go ahead. Before I reach my room the ticket was in my message box. Had Drinks till 12, but the enthusiasm was I bit low as both Tanuj and Saurabh were not able to see their aspirations being fulfilled anytime soon. We were up by 6, got ready and were on our way to Kathgodam by 7.30am, Had breakfast opposite the station and boarded the train in time. Pawan came and met me at Rudrapur station when it stopped there for few minutes. Reached Delhi at 3.50pm had a struggle to get from one station to another but got there in time. Vivek and Ajay (Viveks boss) met me at the station.

Falcons Story

Once there was a king who received a gift of two magnificent falcons from Arabia. They were peregrine falcons, the most beautiful birds he had ever seen. He gave the precious birds to his head falconer to be trained. Months passed and one day the head falconer informed the king that though one of the falcons was flying majestically, soaring high in the sky, the other bird had not moved from its branch since the day it had arrived. The king summoned healers and sorcerers from all the land to tend to the falcon, but no one could make the bird fly. He presented the task to the member of his court, but the next day, the king saw through the palace window that the bird had still not moved from its perch. Having tried everything else, the king thought to himself, "May be I need someone more familiar with the countryside to understand the nature of this problem." So he cried out to his court, "Go and get a farmer." In the morning, the king was thrilled to see the falcon soaring high above the palace gardens. He said to his court, "Bring me the doer of this miracle." The court quickly located the farmer, who came and stood before the king. The king asked him, "How did you make the falcon fly?" With head bowed, the farmer said to the king, " It was very easy, your highness. I simply cut the branch where the bird was sitting." Moral :- We are all made to fly - to realize our incredible potential as human beings. But instead of doing that, we sit on our branches, clinging to the things that are familiar to us. The possibilities are endless, but for most of us, they remain undiscovered. We conform to the familiar, the comfortable, the mundane. So for the most part, our lives are mediocre instead of exciting, thrilling and fulfilling. So let us learn to destroy the branch of fear we cling to and free ourselves to the glory of flight..
